Qatar, Arab-Brazilian chambers review co-operation links

Officials of Qatar Chamber and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce held a meeting Wednesday to discuss ways to enhance areas of co-operation and relations between the Qatari and Brazilian private sectors.
The meeting was attended by assistant director general for Government Relations and Committees Affairs Ali Bu Sherbak al-Mansouri and Institutional Relations director at the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Fernanda Baltazar.
Al-Mansouri underscored the strong relations between Qatar and Brazil at all levels, especially the economic and commercial sectors, noting that there are a lot of Brazilian products in the Qatari market.
On trade exchange, al-Mansouri said Qatar-Brazil trade volume increased from QR2.1bn in 2020 to QR3.8bn last year. He also assured that Qatar Chamber will encourage Qatari investors and businessmen to explore opportunities available in Brazil and bolster co-operation between their private sectors.
Baltazar lauded the robust relations between Qatar and Brazil, stressing that “developing co-operation ties with Qatar is important to Brazil.” She said the Arab-Brazilian Chamber attaches great interest to activating trade between Brazil and Arab states, as it highly welcomes co-operation with Qatar Chamber.
She said there are many activities that will be held this year, expressing hope for the participation of Qatari businessmen and investors, such as the ‘APAS 2022’ exhibition that will be held in Sao Paulo on May 2022. The event includes Arab pavilions and an economic forum in July with broad participation from Brazil and Arab states.
