That tease though
Even though we just got Happy Chaos for Guilty Gear Strive, it seems that Arc System Works couldn’t help but tease who is coming next to the roster.
Following the conclusion of Strive’s top 8 at CEO 2021, ArcSys announced that Baiken will be the next DLC fighter on the way with a teaser trailer.
Although we get to see what is presumably her new stage at the Japanese colony, the trailer does not give us a glimpse at Baiken’s actual gameplay yet.
ArcSys doesn’t offer us an exact release date either, but they do confirm the one-armed swordswoman is scheduled to drop in late January.
So Baiken’s full gameplay trailer will more than likely drop then in the middle of next month.
This is the second Guilty Gear entry in a row where Baiken did not make the cut of the initial roster despite being a fan favorite.
At least players didn’t have to wait three years to take her for a spin like they did for Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.

The character is generally known for her highly technical toolkit that revolves around using unique guard-cancel specials to counter the opponent’s offense, so it’s going to be very interesting to see how that will translate into the new game where some fighters have undergone complete overhauls compared to their past selves.
Another point of interest in the video is that she mentions Delilah at the end, which is the name of Bedman’s sister and could imply that she may finally be unveiled at some point in Strive as either a fighter or background character.
